About

Every family has a table where the good stories get told. Someone leans in, someone says “you won’t believe this,” and the whole room goes quiet. Foodlas is that table, for anyone who wants a seat.

What you’ll find here

We look for remarkable videos that people have published on YouTube: rescued dogs, long-lost families finding each other, weddings that went sideways, old mysteries, strange corners of history and the natural world. For each one, we write a short introduction and place the video right underneath it, so you can watch the whole thing here.

• Mysteries: things nobody has quite explained.
• Did You Know: the facts you’ll end up telling everyone.
• History: the past, passed down.
• Science & Nature: the world doing something surprising.
• Curiosities: odd, wonderful and hard to keep to yourself.

Whose videos these are

We do not make these videos. They are published on YouTube by their own creators, and we show them through YouTube’s standard embedded player. Under every video you will find the creator’s name and a link to the original on YouTube. All rights to each video stay with the person or channel that made it.

A note on our introductions

The short paragraph above each video is our own introduction to it, and the stories are told in the videos by their creators. We can’t personally confirm every detail in every video. If something looks wrong, we would like to hear about it. Our Disclaimer has more on this.

Are you the creator of a video on Foodlas?
